Hi there! My name is Kaela Walter. I’m a wife, mom, step mom, animal mom, massage therapist, music lover, percussionist, and overall lover of nature. The list goes on… but my mission in life has always been the same – to help others.
For the past decade, I’ve been an energy healer and licensed clinical massage therapist, but have always had an interest and calling towards psychological healing. In 2009, right after graduating high school, I briefly attended Naropa University to study Buddhist psychology and art therapy. Ultimately, I wasn’t ready for that path and had a lot of growth (and therapy!) to do back in Illinois. My sensitive nature and desire to help others led me down another path — and I became certified in Reiki and then Massage Therapy. Practicing those healing modalities allowed me the space I needed to cultivate peace and tranquility in my own life, which I so desperately needed. I also loved being able to alleviate people’s pain and create a peaceful atmosphere to foster their healing and growth. All of this was not only beneficial for them, but for me as well.
Finally, after the pandemic hit and my baby was only 5 months old, I decided to dedicate myself to staying home in order to focus on my family’s health, safety, and well-being. Now, I’m here! I’m new to blogging but I’m excited to explore meaningful topics that can potentially be of benefit.
Together, we can focus our energies to understand the roots and causes of suffering in order to feel more peace, and therefore, true freedom. In this way, we propagate peace for ourselves and in turn, the world.
